Role Summary:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics will lead commercial data, reporting, and analytics workstreams for Pfizer oncology portfolio for the Hematology franchise. They will report to the Director, Commercial Analytics within the Global Insights & Operations team.
The Senior Manager will be primarily responsible for the development of analyses to understand market performance, operational effectiveness, and inform marketing strategy. They will also be responsible for the creation and delivery of reports & dashboards for executive and other home office decision makers and targeting/secondary data analytics. The will collaborate with the commercial data team to identify, assess, and acquire new data assets to help inform performance and decision making. These efforts will provide a fact-based way to measure and monitor business performance. As such, they will help set the foundation to identify and address business-critical questions along with other insights and outputs delivered by the larger Global Insights & Operations team. They will also participate in advanced analytics projects as needed.
The Senior Manager, Commercial is a key member of an integrated Global Market insights team and will be responsible for triangulating analytics insights with cross-functional insights to create a synthesized view of the market to embed an objective, data-driven perspective in Pfizer’s go-to-market strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and socialize analyses to inform market understanding and performance reporting.
- Work with external data sets (i.e., Claims, Non-Retail, specialty pharmacy, GPO data, etc.) and manage complexities of fragmented data sets to navigate emerging business needs and evolving data landscape.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, including proactive and independent development of work plans and timelines; ability to manage multiple priorities; able to self-manage time, prioritizing and balancing across multiple competing demands.
- Develop close working relationships with cross-functional partners within and outside Commercial to ensure insights from commercial data, reporting and analytics are consumed by the larger organization for timely and business-critical decisions.
- Partner with Commercial Information Management Team on data governance and stewardship efforts of Pfizer’s customer master data management process.
- Collaborate with Global Insights & Operations team members to help produce synthesized insights in a streamlined manner.
- Identify commercial data sources and data sets to address strategic and operational business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS with minimum 7+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals and/or management consulting preferred or MS/MBA with 6+ years of experience.
- Coding skills and/or analytical tools experience (Alteryx/R/SAS/SQL/Tableau etc.) required. Must enjoy getting their hands dirty in an analysis.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills to address situations with operational complexity..
- Ability to communicate to cross-functional and executive audiences, including ability to summarize complex analyses concisely and listen effectively to concerns and problems.
- Strong and in-depth knowledge of secondary data sources such as reference data, claims data, Specialty pharmacy data, HUB data, and electronic medical records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understand treatment landscape/drivers and leverage medical/market understanding to inform data analyses
- Deep understanding of data providers and their capabilities such as Komodo health, IQVIA, Symphony, Clarivate, and DR
- Ability to work with people at different levels from various parts of the organization, including but not limitedto,Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Managed Markets, Access Teams, IT, and other functions within and outside of Commercial.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
