About the team
The role of Finance is to support the appropriate stewardship of the University’s finance through the provision of strategic financial advice, establishment of a financial management framework, financial management tools, procurement, management of the University’s Investment and Endowment portfolio, as well as financial oversight and accountability for finance and human resources administrative and transactional operations.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Financial Performance and working closely with the Finance Business Partners, you will lead and manage the University’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analytics service delivery to support both strategic and operational decision making. You will use timely and accurate data to drive insights that can be leveraged by the Executive, Governing Committees and Budget Holders to enhance Financial Performance Management. You will also build and maintain a high-performing and service-orientated culture, dedicated to enhancing business value and continuous improvement.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate a relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent proficiency, membership in a recognised Australian or international accounting body, and a wealth of expertise in financial performance management and related fields such as strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and management reporting. Your background should also include substantial involvement in project leadership within a fast-paced multi-funding financial services environment, including successful planning and evaluation of outcomes. Moreover, you should have a track record of driving process improvements to optimise the delivery of accounting insights, advice, and support to clients. Additionally, significant management experience at an appropriate level is essential, demonstrating your ability to provide effective leadership, motivation, and direction to sizable teams.
