We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to oversee our Head to Health program servicing Muswellbrook, Singleton and Scone Health to Health is a free mental health support service for people aged 18+ experiencing distress and provides a welcoming entry point for engagement, assessment, care planning and coordination and recovery-oriented interventions. This new program is funded by the Commonwealth Government to 30 June 2026.
This role gives you an opportunity to:
- Establish a new mental health service in the Upper Hunter and improve mental health outcomes for the local communities
- Guide a multidisciplinary team providing evidence based best practice
- Expand your network by collaborating with a range of community-based organisations

We are looking for a visionary leader with a desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent senior experience in a relevant discipline i.e. psychology, mental health nursing or social work (with mental health accreditation) and relevant professional registration e.g. AHPRA, AASW
- Extensive experience in a senior management role leading teams in the mental health, social and human services sector
- At least 2 years demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing the delivery of mental health services to people with mild to severe mental health concern
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in delivering services supporting people in psychological distress and in recovery from trauma and ability to provide workforce mentoring and support.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in line with organisational priorities and implement innovative and effective solutions to complex problems.
- Outstanding relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and building stakeholder relationships and developing new programs of work.
