Your new role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual who is keen to join our organisation as Senior Manager – Housing and Homelessness Support (HHS) on a full time basis Reporting to the General Manager – Housing & Homelessness Support, you will be ensuring effective and efficient management of the Housing and Homelessness service delivery function in accordance with contractual and legislative requirements within Victoria and Tasmania.
In this dynamic and multifaceted role, you will take overall operational responsibility for Wintringham’s Housing & Homelessness Support as well as identifying opportunities to enhance services through practice development, service development, networking and partnerships.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Provide oversight for the operational responsibility for the services provided within HHS across the three Wintringham HHS regions of Metro Victoria, Regional Victoria & Tasmania.
- Identify opportunities to enhance services in the HHS Portfolio through growth, partnerships, and developing tenders and other funding applications.
- Work with Managers to develop and implement service level plans and ensure regular reviews of service delivery at a hole of HHS and regional program level.
- Provide regular supervision, coaching and support to HHS Managers so they can provide innovative and best-practice services that align with Wintringham’s mission and values Providing leadership of client incidents and complaint management processes and the identification and management of service risk.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports and data for the board, the executive, funders and external stakeholders.
- Build strategic partnerships and positive relationships across other relative sectors that will enhance client outcomes.
- Assist with the development of budgets in conjunction with HHS Managers, the GM HCS and the finance team and ensure programs operate within their allocated budget.
We are looking for candidates with the following
You are a proven leader with a track record of success in the leadership of homelessness services, delivering operational results, building amazing cultures and achieving budget targets. Your skills will be supported by possessing the following:
- Qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Services or equivalent
- Proven senior operational management experience within a diverse and complex community services environment.
- Thorough understanding of Commonwealth and State Government policies, standards and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in financial management, including budget development, monitoring, implementing corrective actions to resolve cost escalations and reporting of variances.
- Advanced skills and experience in program design and identifying, documenting and implementing quality systems within a continuous quality improvement framework.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and social inclusion and the development of a strong Community Sector, including knowledge and understanding of the causes of homelessness and related social policy issues for older people.
- Operational understanding of the courses and the effects of accelerated ageing, frailty, and vulnerability factors for people who are experiencing or with histories of homelessness.
