Role Purpose

The Senior Manager Microfinance Network will play a crucial leadership role to drive impact through partnerships and innovative networked approaches to activate opportunities for financial health and wellbeing through microfinance and related services and support.

They will manage key relationships directly and support the General Managers and Executives across Good Shepherd to strengthen and build a network of microfinance impact through partnerships, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives and fostering a collaborative approach to service provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of high-impact microfinance partnership programs, alongside and working with Client Services, Good Shepherd Institute, Ecosystem Enablement Group and the Financial Wellbeing Network Specialist, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the No Interest Loans (NILs) Program, including the NILs Community Network and associated microfinance operations. Drive improvements in operational support across all channels of NILs service delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of partnership and program activities, including budget management, staffing, procurement, and contract
  • Monitor program progress and performance against established targets, identifying and addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
  • Provide leadership and direction, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, business, finance or related discipline) Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the social services sector with a focus on program implementation, within microfinance a plus.
  • Strong operational management skills, including experience in overseeing program implementation, budget management, and compliance. Ability to drive operational improvements and ensure excellence in service delivery standards across all
  • Proven ability to think strategically and anticipate evolving needs and trends in the social service sectors. Demonstrated ability to innovate and provide leadership in designing and developing service strategies and models that drive client Experience in translating strategic vision into actionable plans and initiatives
  • Proficiency in data analysis and evidence-based decision-making, with the ability to leverage data and analytics to inform service design, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
