While ASDA Logistics Services (ALS) is serving our stores, the Logistics Commercial function is serving customers across the UK, working with some of the largest suppliers and retailers. As a Senior Manager in the Primary Logistics Commercial function, you will help build new products and services for our clients to support the growth journey of this business. You will lead managers who own programmes to bring new services to market, lead on customer experience and optimize cost. You will work directly with clients to understand their needs, and work with team across the business to make it happen. The role has two levels of managers reporting into it, therefore has a senior people leadership scope.
Key job responsibilities:

• Leading your team to deliver world class service and build new programs to improve customer experience even further
• Drive decisions through data and systems
• Ownership of internal systems teams to optimize processes
• Create new optimization initiatives, launch new pilots and quickly scale up what works
• Create business cases for investment in new services and products
• Communicate with senior stakeholders in the business including VP and above
• Deliver measurable results that justify the rollout of changes to the wider business
• See programs through to the bottom line, supporting the change adoption and transition into business as usual (BAU)
• Work across functions and senior stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience needed for this role:

• A background in Logistics, E Commerce, Freight, Supply Chain and/or Retail
• You thrive on bringing clarity from ambiguity
• You enjoy unconstrained thinking and trying new ideas backed by good data and sound judgement
• You move to action fast and take a ‘just do it’ approach to overcome barriers
• You will relish the opportunity to solve for more than one thing at a time; and bring experts from the organization together to make it happen
• You are be able to listen, persuade and collaborate across various functions succinctly, with data and clarity of thought
