The role sits within the wider Product and Marketing Team and the Senior Marketing Engagement and Communications Manager will play lead role in the planning, development and delivery of all end-to-end engagement and communications activity for Bupa Global’s Business to Business customers – including Group Decision Makers, Brokers and Partners across all regions in which we operate.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Working with the Head of Marketing Strategy, Planning and Communications, you’ll play a key role in the creation of an overarching strategy and vision for how the B2B Commercial team interacts with the market to create a deeper engagement across every B2B touch point and ensuring all messaging is aligned to the new external story and brand messaging framework for Bupa Global and is relevant and tailored to the needs of B2B audiences
- Supporting the Head of Marketing Strategy, Planning and Communications and working closely with the Senior Marketing Content and Strategy Manager, you’ll bring the Bupa Global story to life specifically through the lens of B2B audiences by developing integrated, multi-channel communication and content strategies and plans. The key focus is to promote our expertise across all B2B channels to improve relevance and grow our market presence. Channels include but not restricted to events, bids, video, social media, white papers
- Lead on the development of an integrated global events strategy (both digital and f2f) for all markets in which we operate to amplify Bupa Global’s story, USPs and supporting growth targets. This includes the organisation of events, creation of compelling content and ongoing measurement to support continual improvement
- Owns and continually optimises the bid management strategy for all global B2B opportunities from start to finish. This includes accountability for the management of the bid pipeline and marketing reporting, ensuring compliant and compelling new business, renewal and engagement materials are created. This includes leading the team that is responsible for end-to-end bid management including: writing and managing bids, creation of compelling pitch collateral including videos, ongoing coaching of pitch teams and where appropriate, the creation of highly bespoke and engaging pitch presentations and client visits to support strategic high value opportunities
- Working closely with the Senior Marketing Content and Strategy Manager, play a key contributing role to the development of industry leading thought leadership ideas and content around the ‘future of healthcare themes’ for all Bupa Global customer audiences, across multiple regions (SME, Corporate, Intermediary)
- Leading other key project initiatives across a mix of business areas on an ad-hoc basis, with a deep understanding of the customers communication needs for B2B audiences. This includes leading on the creation of strategic communications to support key business transformation or change projects for B2B audiences
- Working with and managing agency relationships, as required, to support the development of marketing communications, content and events management
- Proactively scans external market opportunities and new compelling content opportunities and partnerships, ensuring successful pursuit of new business
- Can navigate global audiences and regulatory frameworks to create a global communications strategy with local execution
- Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance frameworks particularly cross-border. Adheres to Bupa’s Policies, ensuring that risk is managed in line within Bupa Global’s risk appetite. This includes considering the needs of vulnerable customers and making adjustments to meet their needs
- Adhering to Bupa brand guidelines and using the copy clearances processes with Bupa Global for all external communications.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Education to degree level or equivalent, ideally with a post graduate management qualification (e.g. MBA, Diploma In Management Studies, Marketing Management)
- Extensive sales and marketing experience in a Financial Services / healthcare environment with experience of working with global regions and B2B and B2B customers
- Proven analytical and numerical skills with the ability to assimilate and analyse information and data from a variety of sources and use this to plan effectively to ensure objectives are met
- Exceptional experience of successfully influencing decisions with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of constructing, managing and tracking spend across multi million pound budgets
- Experience of recognising the need for and initiating people and process change ensuring strong collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure successful implementation and delivery
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the drive and commitment to build, lead and inspire a high calibre, motivated team
- Strong relationship management with experience of liaising with external partners, third party suppliers, strategic creative and advertising agencies, key decision makers and internal stakeholder relationships (e.g. Planning, Compliance, Audit, Sales, HR, Finance, IS, Commissioning, Provisioning)
- Ability to focus on ‘big picture’ and to make strategically important decisions within agreed parameters without referral
