As Senior Marketing Lead, you’ll lead the marketing activities for the healthcare programs, advocacy and research portfolios, in particular the development and implementation of marketing campaigns designed to support the Heart Foundation’s strategic direction. This includes developing integrated marketing plans with tailored creative concepts and media plans spanning paid, owned, and earned channels to achieve health awareness and engagement targets.

Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner to lead the marketing activity for the health, research and advocacy portfolios, with a focus on managing the development, implementation, and execution of marketing campaigns to support the strategic objectives of health and research programs.
- Lead the development of marketing strategies to assist in building strength of the Heart Foundation’s health and research programs, including supporting a wide range of initiatives related to risk reduction, support and care, research promotion and advocacy.
- Manage channel planning activities including coordinating above the line media buys (working collaboratively with trusted external partners) and below the line and owned channels (working with the in-house Digital team).
- Track, set and measure KPI’s for all marketing activities within the designated portfolio, reporting effectively and exploring opportunities for optimisation.
- Support the health, research and advocacy teams with the development of key promotional assets including the creation of consumer and health professional resources.
- When required, support sponsorship and industry engagement activities across the organisation, in particular the negotiation of value driven sponsor packages, driving attendance numbers for owned events and exploring opportunities for lead generation.
- Oversee the engagement and nurture activities of key audiences for portfolio, including health professionals, researchers and engaged communities.
Let’s talk about you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar senior marketing role, preferably with health sector experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or health promotion, or an equivalent.
- Experience in developing and delivering integrated brand campaigns including channel planning across paid, owned and earned channels and end to end campaign delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multiple agency partners to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the capability to present with ease and to build interest and buy in, as well as the skills to work collaboratively and consultatively with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills and experience using online project management and workload planning tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to results, quality and excellence.
- Demonstrated experience managing and coordinating a small team.
- Excellent agility and resilience, with the ability to adapt plans and change course quickly and efficiently as required.
