Purpose
The purpose of the Senior MBA Recruitment & Admissions Officer position is to assist with talent acquisition activities for the full-time MBA program at Texas McCombs. This role will report to the Director of Full-Time MBA Recruiting and Admissions and assist in leading and enhancing the recruiting strategy to attract, recruit, evaluate and yield strong candidates to the full-time MBA program at Texas McCombs.
Responsibilities
- Talent Pipeline Management and Recruitment: With the Director and Marketing Team, assist with developing and managing the strategic direction for a broad and competitive applicant pool for the full-time MBA program. Recruit and counsel prospective MBA students on requirements, policies, and procedures of the admissions process.
- Marketing & Event Support: Partner with the marketing team in the planning and execution of signature recruitment/yield events for the full-time MBA program. Includes Admissions lead/point of contact for several large admissions events throughout the course of the cycle. Support MBA Marketing Team on full-time MBA perspective for the marketing plan.
- Travel to recruit and yield students and market the program (significant travel). Represent Texas McCombs at various events throughout the year.
- Application Evaluation: Serve as a member of the admissions committee, reviewing applications and providing decision recommendations based on qualifications and admissions criteria.
- Manage working relationships with several external partner organizations. Represent the program with these and other external pipeline organizations.
- Develop and manage an Admissions Alumni Volunteer program.
- Post-Decision Management and Yield: Manage the admitted student scholarship negotiation process & the full-time MBA Waitlist. This includes scheduling meetings to discuss and providing recommendations to the admissions committee.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in talent acquisition activities (recruiting, evaluation, admission, etc.), or three years with a Master’s degree.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. Strong technical skills. Excellent diplomacy skills to handle complex situations with multiple stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and team skills.

Ability to travel extensively, nationally and internationally.

Proficiency with software and comfort learning new technologies.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Working knowledge of graduate management education and/or MBA programs

Experience managing user-facing technology applications including Salesforce

Salary Range
$55,000 – $65,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions

Works in standard office conditions, in a shared office environment, with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events
