Job description

Carmichael are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on a major project based in Warwickshire.Mechanical design development and civil interface details from the client’s preliminary outcome requirement to completion of installation on site.Mechanical design duties including – P&ID development, HAZOP, Hazards in construction and design risk assessment, development of mechanical and civil design drawings.Management of subcontractor work packages including – Producing technical input into tender and subcontract paperwork, pre-start subcontractor meetings and outlining expectations, assessment of subcontractor stage payments, documentation requirements and deliverables, management of variation orders, non-compliances and defects.Programme management and site work including – Completion of technical governance gate paperwork, assessment of programmed tasks and evaluation of forecast to completion, site management, mechanical isolation, approval of mechanical RAMS and mechanical test and inspection sign off.
