  • Full Time Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2026
  • Classification: Health Professional Level 3 with a salary range of $106,427 – $121,030 or Nurses Award Level 3 with a salary range of $116,880 – $123,243 per annum pro rata + Superannuation

About your new role

The Senior Mental Health/AOD Clinician is a 2-year project role designed to support the integration of the care and treatment to guests with co-occurring mental health and AOD within the Local. As a project role there will be an accompanying research and evaluation undertaken by Neami’s research department and will require your input.

As a Senior Clinician you will have a background in and be registered as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse with the relevant accreditation body in your field. The Senior MH/AOD Clinician will work as part of a transdisciplinary, recovery-focused team inclusive of MH Clinicians, AOD Clinicians, Peer Workers, Family Workers, LGBTIQA+ workers, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workers.

What you will bring to the role

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapist
  • Accredited registration with a professional governing body such as AHPRA, APS, AASW
  • A minimum of 5 years working as a clinician in the MH/AOD sector
  • A valid and current Australian Driver License and access to personal vehicle
  • Proven clinical experience to apply evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions, including understanding of theoretical concepts within mental health and AOD sciences and their application to mental health and/or AOD presentations.
  • Experience working as a member of a multi- disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparation of reports with recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and nurture partnerships with government and non-government mental health, AOD, emergency and community service providers.
  • All staff are required to adhere to Neami immunisation and vaccination policy directives to minimise the risk of vaccine preventable diseases to protect workers, other employees, guests, and visitors
