We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Band 7 senior clinical nurse specialist, and qualified Non-Medical prescriber (NMP) with leadership skills and a passion for working with young people and families.Your role will be to provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions, primarily to children and young people who have been referred in for an ADHD assessment and those open to the team’s ADHD clinic. You will work closely with the ADHD clinic staff and in addition to your specialist NMP role, you will contribute to ADHD Duty cover as well as offering initial assessments to young people referred to the service. As a senior clinician, you will support the development of more junior staff, and contribute to the wider leadership of the team.Hampshire CAMHS values the contributions that nursing colleagues bring and has a well-established nursing structure and strategy. Robust and supportive clinical and management supervision and governance arrangements are in place so that staff are able to practice safely and effectively. Hampshire CAMHS is supportive of clinicians’ professional development and provides access to quality training opportunities.There is a strong network of 12 NMP’s within Hampshire CAMHS with a clear and collaborative governance structure. As well as specialist NMP supervision, there are frequent NMP peer support and governance meetings as well as quarterly CPD meetings with medical and pharmacy colleagues.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions to patients within a care group; participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice; liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice; be able to undertake audit activity and supervision to other staff in service area/care group.   • Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role.
  • Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group
  • Evidence of post registration training in relevant service area
  • Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
  • Supplementary/Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Module (level 3) or willingness to train in (through trust support and sponsorship)
