Position Summary:

In this role, you will not only provide direct services to clients, conduct assessments, and craft personalised support plans, but you’ll also take the lead in supervising and empowering our Allied Health team. Your vital role extends beyond, ensuring a harmonious team dynamic and compliance with regulations in the field of dementia care.

Core Duties:

  • supervise and mentor junior occupational therapists:
  • provide direct occupational therapy services to clients;
  • conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised support plans;
  • oversee the efficient and equitable distribution of caseloads;
  • develop and manage annual operational plans, ensuring compliance with legislation;
  • collaborate with the head of department to identify training and development needs;
  • guide and support the development of strategies and plans for dementia care and campaigns.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy;
  • valid and current AHPRA registration;
  • in-depth knowledge of the NDIS, Aged Care Quality Standards and/or dementia care principles and practices;
  • strong leadership abilities and previous experience guiding junior occupational therapists;
  • demonstrated experience in providing direct occupational therapy services;
  • strong assessment and intervention skills, including task adaptation, environmental modification, and assistive technology;
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • commitment to person-centred care and advocacy for individuals with dementia.

Essential Requirements:

      • Current WA driver’s license;
      • NDIS Worker Screening Check; and
      • COVID-19 vaccination certificate (minimum 3 doses).
