Who are we looking for?
At AnglicareSA, we’re all about working together and partnering with communities to create positive social impact and change lives. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our fun and supportive multi-disciplinary team committed to making a difference in the lives of autistic children. The role is based at our Daphne Street Specialist Early Learning Centre, where we run inclusive programs in a mainstream setting, as well as a therapy program within an Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC). We celebrate diversity and champion every child’s individuality and need for connection.
Our therapy team provides integrated early intervention, education and therapy to children up to the age of 6 years within a specialised childcare setting. Leveraging your clinical and exceptional interpersonal skills, you will provide regular supervision and professional development to the Occupational Therapy team.

What can you expect to be doing?
- Develop, implement and evaluate group-based therapy programs for children with ASD.
- Lead, mentor, train, supervise and support fellow staff, participate in reviews and collaborate with leadership to identify areas of improvement.
- Inform the multi-disciplinary team with advice, plans and strategies with regard to OT discipline specific related services to children within the program.
- Support, guide and advise childcare staff in the delivery of small group programs.
- Contributing to the innovation and growth of services to enable children and young people to live their lives to the fullest.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Minimum of four years working within Occupational Therapy
- A broad knowledge of occupational therapy interventions and their application to children living with ASD.
- Experience in program planning development and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
