We are looking for another Senior OT to build on their management experience and lead our team. We are also looking for a Community Occupational Therapist to broaden the team’s skillset!
Both roles are hybrid-based across North Melbourne, in the community and work from home. Conditions and work hours will be negotiated with the appropriate candidates, with the option for full-time or part-time currently available.

It is an exciting time, as we experience growth in our team and we are seeking both a Senior Occupational Therapist and Community Occupational Therapist to express their interest in being part of our team. Please state your preferred position in your cover letter.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will utilise specialist knowledge and skills to provide: assessment; independent living skills training and intervention strategies; recommendations; and, reports to clients, carers and their families. You will work as part of a growing Allied Health team to support participants on the NDIS and/or other employment programs to achieve the goals set out in their NDIS plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the client’s capacity to independently participate in activities of daily living (self-care), and instrumental activities of daily living including home and community activities, learning and education, employment, play and recreation
- Complete NDIS specific requirements including Service Agreements and NDIA reports (if applicable)
- Utilise standardised assessment tools and provide occupational therapy interventions to assist in better outcomes for participants
- Provide both mental health & community functional and capacity assessments in the office and in the home
- Maintain accurate and up to date case notes
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the NDIS systems and practices with support and direction from the Psychosocial NDIS Manager
- Maintain billing efficiency under the NDIS fee for service funding model
- Represent WISE and the NDIS team by presenting at forums/conferences
About you:
- An approved degree from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy and eligibility for membership to the Occupational Therapy Association
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Commitment to participation and documentation of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) that is aligned with Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards and individual learning goals.
- Commitment to ongoing external clinical supervision
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and its complexities
- Experience and demonstrated skills working with people with a disability
- Commitment to assisting people with a disability build skills and achieve their goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent IT literacy, planning, coordination and time management

- Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy National Police Check, Working with Children Check and Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme clearance.
- Hold a current driver’s license
