To provide support and assistance to the Operations Specialist and Deputy Regional Director in managing data and information of the region and keep updated information related to MENA country offices. Specific Roles and responsibilities are highlighted below:

  • Assist Regional Operations team in issuing various monitoring and analytical products related to MENA Regional Office and Country Offices through:
  • Data collection and consolidation from various sources such as AMPs, Annual Reports, SAP (VISION) reports, Insight Dashboards, Accounts Closure Schedules … etc.
  • Support in generating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reports for the Regional Office, consolidating required analytical information from the RO sections and follow up with RO section on actions as required.
  • Assist in final consolidation of the various Operations products/reports. 
  • Provide assistance throughout the Technical Review and Programme Budget Review meetings (TRT/PBR)
  • Administrative and secretarial assistance during the annual Technical Review Team (TRT) /Programme Budget Review (PBR) meetings.
  • Support in data entry for the Regional Office Budget Preparation linked to ROMP and COs if requested.
  • Support with the data analysis required for the TRT/PBR meetings.
  • Monitoring Key Milestones and Results of the Operations Team under the Deputy Regional Director:
  • Support and follow up on the Operations teams to ensure meeting deadlines (WPs, RAM, MYR…etc).
  • Maintaining an updated Operations team planning calendar.
  • Maintain and organize the Deputy Regional Director’s calendar and travel arrangement.
  • Data entry and updating of work-planning template with consolidated input from various teams as well as input into the RAM system.
  • Overall support to the network meetings, calls, webinars called by the section:
  • Admin & logistical support in preparation for various meetings/ events held by the section.
  • Drafting minutes and action points from the meetings and follow up on implementing those.
  • Follow up with country offices as needed and keep updated records of the responses received prior and after the meetings.
  •  Support activities for the Greening and Accessibility for the Region:
  • Support the implementation of MENAR Regional Action Plan on disability inclusion.
  • Organize and update the current and archived files of the section keeping easy and quick access.
  • Arrange for Electronic filing on the ECM in coordination with IT Section.
  • Organize and index current and old files in the storage rooms for easy reference and access.
  • Transactional support and tasks in SAP/OSC/SG- MDM as required.
  • Any other tasks/responsibilities as advised by the Operations Specialist.

The following minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary education with accredited certificates in finance, accounts or any other field of discipline relevant to the job is an asset.
  • Work Experience: At least 7 years of relevant work experience in related field.  Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in finance, accounts or any other field of discipline relevant to the job is accepted, with a requirement of four years of experience. 
  • Skills : Experience in Microsoft Office applications is required, particularly excel.
  • Language Requirements: Very good command of English – Spoken and written. Knowledge of Arabic ; Knowledge of French an asset
