Position Summary:
Incumbent performs clinical assessment and care management for orthopedic outpatients and presents relevant patient data to the physician. Removes sutures. Applies and removes casts and splints. Collects and records patient data. Provides patient information and instructions. Monitors patient flow during clinic hours. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, i.e. neonate, pediatric, adult or geriatric and provide the care needed. Demonstrates positive attitude and excellent customer service to all.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $29.60 Midpoint $34.32 Maximum $39.04
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Understanding of medical terminology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Minimum 2 years experience working as an Orthopaedic Technician
Current Orthopaedic Technologist Certified (OTC) from National Board for Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists, or Registered Orthopedic Technologist (ROT) certification from the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals
BLS certification upon hire
Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of the duties assigned to the position
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
