About the role

The Senior Paralegal will support the General Counsel & Company Secretary to provide efficient and effective support in CPA’s legal and regulatory requirements and to maintain sound corporate governance, including effective reporting to the Board.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

  • Drafting, reviewing and preparing standard contracts and other legal documents
  • Managing CPA’s various legal and compliance registers and reporting obligations
  • Managing and coordinating requests for client record access and subpoenas
  • Raise awareness and support internal stakeholders to manage privacy compliance obligations
  • Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage legal risk

About you:

  • 5 + years’ experience working in either a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Diligence and rigorous attention to detail
  • Experience managing simultaneous projects and deliverables
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment whilst confident to work autonomously and to judge when escalation is required
