Position Summary:
Incumbent assists staff, patients, and visitors in maintaining compliance with parking rules and regulations. Incumbent will patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle and issue parking violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices for illegal parking, and will boot or tow vehicles as necessary. Monitor parking areas for safety/security related situations reporting any activity to the Medical Center Security Department as needed or UCI Police.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $22.30 Midpoint $25.85 Maximum $29.40
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process and maintain the successful completion of an FBI fingerprinting process throughout employment.
Employment is contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation
Continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record
Must be able to perform sustained foot patrol
Minimum six months related experience, preferably in customer service/hospitality
Must be available to work alternate work schedules and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Current State of California Driver’s License
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Employment contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation. Position is subject to the California DMV’s “Pull Notice System” and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of applicable procedures and regulations concerning parking enforcement and traffic control
Working knowledge of the California Vehicle code
Working knowledge of computer systems and software
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
