We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

The P&C Business Partner engages with organisational leaders to build people leadership capability and support the successful management of employment risks. As a trusted partner, the role engages on all aspects of human resource practice consulting on continuous improvement and implementing people related initiatives.

  • Provide a consultancy service and operational HR management of all facets of the employee lifecycle including employee development, performance management, dispute resolution, interpretation of industrial instruments, remuneration and employee engagement.
  • Drive an exceptional, professional employee experience to a diverse range of clients across the organisation
  • Act as a subject matter expert to client group’s success by supporting organisational outcomes for all people practices.

To be successful in this role, you will have outstanding stakeholder management skills to support and coach managers with advice and recommendations on all people related issues. Your previous experience as a Business Partner managing complex problems in a pragmatic and organised manner, together with broad generalist experience will support you in this role. 

Passion for supporting the mission of BSL, and delivering excellence in your role, are just the start. To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive relevant experience in an HR Business Partner role
  • Extensive ER/IR experience in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience in supporting and coaching line management on people matters
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong, pragmatic and methodical approach to handling complex issues
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of BSL
