About the opportunity

 

As our Senior Philanthropy Administration Officer in the Advancement Portfolio, you will use your excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to work effectively on philanthropy administration activities with colleagues across the University. Your ability to effectively collaborate with a range of stakeholders to facilitate spend planning and the timely, effective, and compliant implementation of gifts across the University will be paramount.

 

This is a hands-on role, requiring a high degree of initiative and judgement in planning your work. You will see your project management skills come to life in this role, as you work closely with multiple teams, and deal with competing priorities. The responsibilities this role will provide an opportunity to be involved in significant and impactful activity at the University.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

 

  • support the consolidation of knowledge related to a gift, ensuring the proper transfer to stakeholders responsible for implementation and successful delivery
  • work with gift recipient areas to drive the development, approval, and implementation of spend pans and budgets for philanthropic gifts
  • work with our Office of General Counsel and Philanthropy Accounting teams to support trust and financial compliance
  • contribute to the design and development of processes and materials to support the philanthropy administration model.

 

About you

  • experience working with a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects
  • fantastic initiative and sound judgement
  • a keen eye for detail and accuracy, taking pride in delivering high-quality work
  • excellent project management skills, with a general understanding of a project lifecycle
  • an ability to deliver on multiple streams of work at once, highlighting your highly-organised work ethic
  • financial literacy and experience in budget management
  • exposure to CRM systems, salesforce experience highly advantageous
  • experience working in a complex organization.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
