Your impact
This role plays a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with donors, mobilising resources, and ultimately enabling the organisation to expand its reach and impact in providing life-saving aid and support to impoverished communities worldwide.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and overseeing a team of two, we are in search of a strategic, innovative and ambitious Senior Philanthropy Manager to join a high performing team. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Generating philanthropic revenue to meet annually agreed income targets
- Maintaining and growing an active pipeline of major donors and trusts & foundations
- Developing new partnerships capability, including an engagement program
- Reporting on outcomes against agreed targets and KPIs
As this is a newly created role, it is initially offered on a 12-month contract basis with a view to extension and / or permanent appointment based on performance.

What you bring
You will be well networked within the philanthropic space, and have experience managing a small team. Additionally, you will bring:
- A strong track record in high value relationship management to achieve income targets
- Experience in managing multiple partnerships simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience in a Philanthropy / Major Donor / Trusts and Foundations / Fundraising, with ideally 2+ years’ experience as a people manager
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or other relevant area of study, with a specific interest in International Development
