Job description

We are working with reputable construction company that is looking to hire a Senior Planner on a permanent basis for a site in Oxfordshire.
You will be working on a Data Center project and you will join a team of experienced professionals.
As the Senior Planner you will be responsible for:

• Lead the development of the baseline contract programme. This includes design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure all programme elements are logically linked and have a critical path.
• Prepare a construction (target) programme to highlight improvements against the contract programme.
• Create a tender event programme for subcontractor procurement, incorporating design release and lead-in activities.
• Maintain electronic files and manage planning documents for easy retrieval using the common data environment (CDE).
• Provide necessary programme information to support the management team.
• Develop 4D graphical models or 2D phasing plans to represent the build sequence, phasing, and logistics.
• Use the construction programme to help produce project prelim books, including staff resources, logistics, and temporary works.
• Engage with the supply chain to develop the project programme, considering design, lead-in times, construction periods, and plant and labour needs.
• Review risks and opportunities for each programme. Highlight potential mitigation measures, including float and time risk allowances.

You will bring extensive experience in the construction industry in a Senior Planner capacity and you will have:

• Relevant Degree or diploma
• Qualifications in construction management
• Certification for use of planning and programme software
• Membership of relevant professional body, where applicable
• Advanced Asta Powerproject Training – Progress Analysis & S-curve reporting.
• Advanced Primavera P6 Training Managing costs & resources.
• Managing People Training
• Advanced contract awareness – Understanding JCT and NEC forms of contract
