We believe that our ecologists should be multi-disciplinary and we provide extensive training
to support you in achieving that aim, as well as specialists on hand to help you develop your
own specialisms. We support and encourage team members in securing species licences wherever we
can.

Our current goal is to continue to expand whilst maintaining excellent levels of ecological
expertise and client service.

Essential requirements:

  • A degree qualification in ecology or closely related subject;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in ecology, project and line management;
  • Developing field skills;
  • Good knowledge of all key environmental legislation and policy;
  • Ability to produce well-written reports using full range of IT;
  • Full clean driving licence;
  • CIEEM membership at appropriate level; and
  • Willingness to relocate if required.

Desirable requirements:

  • A post graduate in ecology or closely related subject;
  • Protected species licences,
  • Specialism in ornithology, bats or other protected species or group;
  • Skills in GIS and database management
  • Experience of client relationship building;
  • European protected species licences held in last three years;
  • Experience of production of Ecological Impact Assessments; and
  • Skills to help develop our growing habitat creation portfolio.

Salary Range:

Senior Ecologists c. £35,000+
Principal Ecologists c. £45,000+

Team members based in Greater London will be awarded a weighted salary to reflect the greater
cost of living.
