Our ideas support and drive the Group’s agenda.The PLT mobile app team are an experienced group of Developers, QA Analysts, DevOps Engineers and SCRUM Master who work together to build and support the PLT mobile app across multiple locales. They’ve built the app from the ground up using a combination of in-house and external tech and are instrumental in the success of the business. You’ll also be a part of the wider Project Delivery and Digital Product teams to work together and deliver across the stack.THE ROLE:As the Senior Product Owner for the PLT mobile app you are required to understand both the needs of the business and technical requirements to help build out a backlog for change on the front-end. You will to support your team on prioritising the right deliverables for the brand, in-line with their strategy, and ensuring the team is in position to deliver to the correct spec and on time.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with the business to understand their needs and brand/departmental strategies and how we can support them.
- Build out a roadmap for change for the PLT mobile app, sharing this both internally and externally with the PLT stakeholders to gain feedback and sign-off ahead of development.
- Ensure items on the roadmap have clear benefit expectations and work with our UX and BI teams to monitor following delivery.
- Participate in daily stand-ups with the tech team.
- Create development tickets with user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Review tickets/requirements with the team and plan into sprints according to benefits/priorities.
- Communicate to the team, the wider IT department and the brand/business on priorities and delivery of requests, including if items need reprioritising due to more high priority issues/changes coming in.
- Create rollout plans for projects and delivery, monitor new features and ensure benefits reached are understood, communicated and celebrated.
- Collaborate with the other Product Owners to ensure priorities are aligned and delivery is planned accordingly.
- Ensure you have a good understanding of the wider tech stack, including services outside your team to support with analysis, scoping and troubleshooting.
- Line management and mentoring of Product Owners within the team.
- Support the department as we go through a period of change.
REQUIREMENTS:For this role we are looking for someone who:
- Has worked in an ecommerce environment previously (fashion preferable, but not required).
- Is able to work at a fast pace/used to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a thorough understanding of the product/delivery lifecycle and able to offer suggestions on how to improve.
- Experienced in and has a strong understanding of Agile methodology.
- Is happy to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities and adapting to business requests and changes in the market. You must be agile and reactive to these conditions.
- Knows the PLT brand, customer and strategy and an understanding of how tech can support deliver on this.
- Has an understanding of brand competitors and the wider ecommerce retail market.
- Happy to work closely with the wider business and has strong stakeholder management skills.
- Has the ability to build a good relationship with other Product Owners both within and outside the Digital space.
- Has strong problem-solving skills and is able to address issues both within and outside the team.
