Context/Reporting line:

Under the overall supervision of the Project Officer (CCCM), the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office ( HoSO), and the direct supervision of the National Operations Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties;

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate IOMs NFI& Cashdistribution ensuring initial needs are assessed and communicated to the National Operation Officer and appropriate security and local authority coordination is conducted.
  2. Line manage distribution staff ensuring SoPs are properly adhered to by and staff conduct themselves in accordance to IOMs values and ethics.
  3. Monitor IOMs NFI prepositioned stock including receipt, stock in and out , track the NFI distribution and inform of any gap.
  4. Monitor field work related nsuring complete submission of supporting documentation in accordance with IOM guidelines;
  5. Respect assessment deadlines, ensure the accuracy of the survey data submitted, as well as integrity and protection of data as per IOM’s Data Protection Manual.
  6. Participate in meetings with Camp informing relevant staff of IOM activities being conducted at camp level. Report any issues, discrepancies or bottlenecks to National Operation Officer.
  7. Carry out long quantitative assessments with the community an service providers to accurately reflect the needs, challenges, vulnerabilities, and protection needs of the community.
  8. Collect information on humanitarian needs through community level rapid needs assessments in newly accessible area to inform NFI program in PRD.
  9. Carry out profiling assessments, aiming to gather baseline data on access to services and living conditions at the site-level. This will require periodical visits to the camp.
  10. Participate in relevant planning and camp management meetings as required.
  11. Report to direct supervisor on implementation status, including the progress, irregularities and shortfalls
  12. Adhere to PSEA principles, IOM policies, procedures, and values at all times ensuring respect towards beneficiaries and KI.
  13. Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in, management, social science, or any related field from an accredited academic university or institute.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication, diplomatic, and motivational skills with project staff, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders in the area.
  • Excellent in Excel functions and formulas.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-moving, multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work on unusual hours and cope with the pressure from emergency activities.
  • Knowledge of local governance in post-conflict contexts and gender and inclusion strategies.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian principles and do not harm.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Working knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
