Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, public health, international development, or related areas, plus 1-2 years of practical, specialized work experience in administration and /or knowledge management, OR Associate’s degree with 3-5 years equivalent work experience.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

Travel: Up to 5 percent of the time in domestic and international contexts.

Estimated Hiring Range: $60,000.00 – $68,000.00

The Job:

World Vision is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to provide administrative and knowledge management support for our dynamic Evidence and Learning team. The individual will be interested in pursuing a career in Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (DMERL) and willing to start at an entry-level.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within the scope of role.
  • Enhance and maintain the team’s SharePoint site by regular updates.
  • Evaluating the project process and ensuring project deadlines are met. May include tracking invoices and payments for specific projects.
  • Develop/lead processes or guidance that help the team work efficiently. This may range from improving or shepherding contracting processes, to developing simple to follow knowledge management practices (i.e., maintain team library files), event planning (i.e., brown bags, retreats, forums, etc.).
  • Identify and analyze any project reporting discrepancies, noting areas for opportunity that may require further follow-up and make decisions to resolve issues and prevent problems in the future.
  • Interact with internal and external contacts to enhance relationships and ensure accountability and goal definition.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to the development and implementation of team goals, strategies and activities.
  • Perform complex and diverse administrative duties directly related to the achievement of team goals and strategies that involve high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive information, necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgement.
  • Prepare and/or edit internal and external presentations, reports, papers, drafts as needed.
  • Participate in various team, client or vendor meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member on assigned projects, including providing support as an assistant on various initiatives. This role requires actively participating in team efforts, contributing to group tasks, and assisting other project members to ensure collective goals are achieved.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Bring These Skills:

Technical skills:

  • Experience in conducting literature reviews, data collection, and synthesis. Ability to manage and organize large sets of data and information efficiently.
  • Analytical skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data effectively.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques to communicate insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced skills in Excel, and potentially other statistical or programming tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python). Other useful software applications are a plus e.g., Atlas.ti, NVivo, MaxQDA, Dedoose, or data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI.

Administrative Proficiency:

  • Capable of handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, preparing documents, and managing contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to create and document workflows and processes, helping to streamline team operations and enhance efficiency.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in data management, document preparation, and editing.
  • Effective Communication:
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise guidelines, reports, and correspondence.

Team Collaboration:

  • Experience working collaboratively in a team setting, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist other team members as needed.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, statistics, public health, international development, or related areas, plus 1-2 years of practical, specialized work experience in related area.

OR

Associate’s degree or equivalent (four years) work experience. In addition to education or educational equivalent, requires practical, specialized work experience in project coordination/budget oversight or related area; 3-5 years.

Salary Range & Benefits:

  • WVUS Pay Grade Level: 221
  • The estimated hiring range is $60,000.00 – $68,000.00
  • The full range for this position is $54,788.07 – $82,182.10
  • This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Washington D.C. office. A different range may apply based on your work location.
  • Job offers are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
