We ensure their ability to effectively engage with governments and regulators around the world and deliver results that advance the interests of the mobile industry.

The GSMA’s Advocacy campaigns are typically embedded within multi-year plans, presenting unique portfolio management challenges that require a forward-looking vision and excellent delivery planning. About the Team

The team consists of six professionals from project manager through to portfolio director and we work with matrixed teams to deliver results for our members. You will be part of a team that delivers impactful initiatives and projects on areas such as Climate, International Relations, and Capacity Building, working with outstanding people.

About the Role

  • Management of multiple complex projects across the Advocacy External Affairs portfolio, with the aptitude for excellent planning and communication techniques, to time, cost, and quality, escalating risks and issue proactively.
  • Applying excellent and appropriate project management methodologies to planning cycles, such as Agile and Prince2.
  • Conducting effective stakeholder and communication management techniques, conveying information to a variety of multi-level stakeholders within the mobile industry and wider ecosystem
  • Undertaking a flexible and positive approach to team mentoring and management to solve complex business issues.
  • Develop effective business project management processes in collaboration with team members.
  • Lead on the development and reporting of relevant and stretching organisational and portfolio key performance indicators.

About You

  • Experience of working with advocacy global initiatives and within the telecoms/tech industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of climate and environmental themes
  • Able to coach and train junior team members to high standards of project management techniques.
  • Solid experience in managing significant budgets to planning cycles and within tolerance. Applying the relevant change control tactics, as required.
  • Can communicate clearly and concisely via a variety of formats with the ability to plan and deliver winning presentations.
  • Able to apply control techniques and scoping methods to document clear multi-year portfolio plans.
  • Able to absorb complex information and communicate effectively at all levels to both expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Demonstrates effective stakeholder management and networking skills to build effective internal and external working relationships.
  • You are adaptable and resourceful and comfortable working in an emerging opportunity area without a defined blueprint
  • Role model the GSMA’s values and contributes to a positive work environment and can be relied on to consistently follow through on commitments.
