Job descriptionOur Client has a strong reputation in the UK Construction company and currently has a fantastic opportunity for experienced Senior Project Managers from a water / wastewater background to join a growing delivery team for AMP7 across the Hampshire region.Job Description:Our client is working on a wide variety of water and wastewater projects where you will be involved in the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner, all within deadlines, the tender estimate and minimising Carbon and sustainability impacts without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction.Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:– Ensure all the client’s projects are completed on time and to the highest standard– Ensure constructability input is received in a timely manner from the delivery partners– Work with the regional construction lead to ensure suitable and sufficient resource is available and deployed to projects– Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, finances, risks, quality, and resources within defined thresholds and tolerances. Escalate to Regional Project Managers where necessary.– Ensure that the approach to Health & Safety and Wellbeing procedures are sufficient in that high standards are satisfied as a minimum– Ensure efficiency levers are embedded into project solutions– Engage with assigned stakeholders in accordance with overall communication Plan – design or construction – including permits, planning consents, street-works– Ensure the client is not adversely impacted by the projects going on within the Area– Monitoring progress and performance of project with the support of the Performance and Reporting team, in particular: Actual cost of work done versus planned cost and earned value.– Accuracy of project reporting and performance to Area Delivery Manager– Manage project-level change control; or escalate as appropriate.Requirements– Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering– Experienced Project Manager– Strong leadership capability– Experience of managing civil engineering contracts– Experience of supervising multidisciplinary D&B projects including civils and MEICA– Understanding of Engineering Principles– Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training– Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices– Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software)– Relevant CSCS Card– Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
£65000 – 75000 per year
