Objectives :
Objective 1: Assessment and project design and planning:
Facilitate the assessment, baseline, and end line with the support of MEAL.
Ensure to report any feedback lessons learns and needs from the field team and report to the program manager and HoDs.
Ensure understanding of all project activities, targets, and means of verification in the LFA.
Ensure the understanding of the project proposal and explain it to the rest of the team.
Developing detailed activity planning in the initial project stage.
Ensure implementation of the various components of the project cycle ;
Plan the activities according to the development of the project
Objective 2: Coordination and communication:
Ensure the coordination with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to present he project activities ;
Develop all the required formal letters for the relevant authorities related to the activity implementation.
Coordinate contractor activities and report to the Program Manager any problem with them
Ensure the project’s representation in terms of coordination at the community level ;
Ensure the project’s integration into local structures
Ensure mapping of the active stakeholders for facilitating advocacy messages to the decision makers.
Objective 3: Implement and provide technical support for the hydraulic, construction, community engagement, and behaviour change activities:
Ensure implementation of the activities defined by the Program Manager;
Follow contractor activities in terms of quality and quantity and ensure they are following the schedule and technical agreement put inside the contract.
Provide inputs for the PM to develop TORs and SOPs for community engagement activities.
Support in initiating and designing the behavior change approach for better impact.
Develop technical BOQs for the integrated FSL and WASH activities.
Review all the technical assessments, BOQs, and list of materials submitted by the team
Evaluate and update project needs (HR, financial, logistics) ;
Identify and anticipate problems or constraints ;
Follow the project’s advancement through regular visits ;
Propose solutions or improvements for better performance of the project ;
Ensure the project’s technical and financial follow-up ;
Take into account the project’s global performance: impact, relevance, consistency, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, kinds, and covered groups
Objective 4: Participate in implicating the beneficiary communities in the project :
Coordinate activities and sensitize local partners in the field ;
Identify technical training needs in the community ;
Organize information meetings with community members on technical aspects: use of water points, use and maintenance of sanitation facilities, community mobilization for maintenance and drainage improvement, and how to obtain maintenance and tools kit.
Communication on drainage master plan and supervise follow-up of tools kit
Objective 5: Manage the project team :
Elaborate the content of the training and organize it.
Train, assess, and promote the team.
Supervise the project officers during project implementation.
Organize the work of the team: optimize the distribution of tasks according to the members’ potentials and organize planning regarding activity planning
Objective 6: Logistics and Finance
Manage logistics procedures for the project team (PL, SRO, SFU) in collaboration with the logistics team
Check and follow the material received for the project(s)
Organize vehicle movements for the project team in collaboration with the fleet and premises officer.
Support the PM in providing inputs for the BFU forecasting and actual inputs.
Objective 7: Reporting and means of verification
Prepare monthly report of the activities in the field
Support the PM in the collection and organization all the required means of verification
Report any incident or relevant occurrence to the supervisor
Objective 8: Other duties
Will promote the do no harm, across the project.
Communicate with all the beneficiaries of the project regarding activities location and time
Follow-up the working plan submitted by the line manager.
Provide feedback to community
Prepare weekly progress report including technical comments/feedback
Supervise the use of security equipment during the rehabilitation activities
Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Recruitment Criteria:
Qualification/Degree:
University Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Water management or related field preferred.
Professional Experience:
3 years of work experience in a Food security and livelihood, WASH, Climate change or relevant field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of the intervention area
Good computer knowledge
Strong agriculture and livestock knowledge
Strong water management knowledge and experience.
Good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian crises issues
Basic knowledge in developing advocacy campaign planning.
Experience on cash transfer programming including unconditional cash grants, agriculture and livelihood, business grants etc.
Understanding small business, business planning and business management.
