About the Role
We are recruiting for a Senior Project Officer, Research and Ethics, role, based in Northern suburbs. In this role, you will drive the development of research partnerships and manage ethics reviews for internal and external projects. You will conduct and commission research activities, support the Research Advisory Group, and mentor Project Officers. Additionally, you will oversee staff and ensure compliance with ethical standards in all research initiatives.
Key Duties
- Develop and support research policies, procedures, and tools.
- Conduct and commission literature reviews to aid in program design and evaluation.
- Design, implement, and oversee research projects and activities.
- Support research agenda reviews, develop research partnerships, and maintain academic networks.
- Provide secretariat support for the Research Advisory Group, including ethical reviews.
- Offer advice on ethics protocols, contribute to evidence-informed practices, develop funding submissions, and engage in knowledge dissemination.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or similar
- Demonstrated commitment to the values and vision related to Aboriginal and Indigenous communities.
- Well-developed research skills with experience in Aboriginal/Indigenous research approaches and methods.
- Strong analytical abilities in social sciences, ideally within human services, and expertise in research and evaluation ethics.
- Knowledge and experience in the Aboriginal child and family sector in Victoria, including robust literature review skills and project management.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal competence, with the ability to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders.
You will also be willing to undergo police and Working with Children Checks, current COVID-19 vaccination as well as provide 2 recent managerial references.
