An exciting opportunity has come up to work with a national based organisation in a Senior Quantity Surveyor capacity. You will be working within the social housing planned refurbishment programme on various projects and you will be based from home/office and on-site. The role involves leading a small team of commercially focused employees to evaluate information to help understand and present the costs for the designated refurbishment projects.The salary for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role is £60,000 – £70,000.Skills needed in the Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• You will have experience of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Construction industry
• Ideal if you have an understanding of the Social Housing sector
• Ideal if you possess experience of managing a small team of QS’s while also managing your own projects
• You will have strong commercial acumen and excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of IT and proficient office skills

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

• Support your team to value and authorise payments to sub-contractors within the region
• Assist in the control of contract budgets
• Assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales
• Managing the monthly CVR Process for your region
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
