About the program
PARCs are located in a community setting and provide an option for people who are becoming unwell, or who are in the early stages of recovery from an acute illness and need a short period of additional support to strengthen their gains from spending time in an inpatient setting and to consolidate their community transition and recovery treatment plans.
This PARC will provide an essential service within the continuum of care that will empower and provide opportunity to people to seek mental health care and treatment that they may not receive otherwise.
About the opportunity
As the Senior Recovery Worker, your role is vital as you will be providing case coordination and management to residents of the PARC program, play an active role in supporting the ongoing development of the team as well as monitoring the quality of the program as a whole.
You will be joining a dedicated team to develop person-centred plans and deliver direct, practical support to individuals in our care. You will encourage them as they take steps towards their recovery and assist them in building long term support networks to ensure they are fully supported to continue their recovery after they exit the program.
The areas of responsibility for this role span across:
- Rehabilitation Services – provide direct support to participants within the framework of the organisation’s policy and procedures, all applicable legislative standards and any relevant accreditation standards
- People Development – Supporting the development of the team’s capability and supporting the integration of organisational values
- Program Coordination – Support program resources and quality management
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience working in a support role for people with a mental health challenge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work within Australia
- Current valid Driver’s Licence and the ability to undertake some travel
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children’s Check
