Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing employer engagement priorities in partnership with campus partners – particular the campus career centers – by expanding, fostering, and maintaining relationships with local to global employers that yield employment opportunities for students and create a positive and collaborative recruiting experience at UT Austin.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the campus career centers, lead efforts in initiating contact with existing employers from across all industries, as well as those new to recruiting at UT Austin, to cultivate and strengthen recruiting partnerships. Help employers navigate the UT recruiting landscape, identify employer recruiting needs and provide strategic recommendations for virtual and in-person student engagement opportunities. Maintain processes for managing employer relationship information. Help source new business engagement opportunities in collaboration with campus partners Efficiently manage multiple tasks at high volume and when performing routine activities.

  • Lead and maintain accurate and appropriate documentation on a timely basis utilizing technology platforms and Microsoft products and provide employer analysis reports. Collect, record, and regularly track employer engagement and recruiting data, including recruiting consultations and long-term partnership management.

  • Co-lead marketing and communication efforts, including the creation and distribution of an employer newsletter, employment trends digest, marketing materials, and employer web content.

  • Represent Texas Career Engagement at high-profile events, committee meetings and workgroups. Attend conferences and professional development meetings pertinent to creating recruiting connections.

  • Supervise, support and mentor student staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of demonstrated experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with a variety of constituents that resulted in employment and/or business opportunities. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. Strong customer service skills. Project management and large- and small-scale event planning skills with proven attention to detail. Database or customer relationship management (CRM) experience, and/or ability to learn new technology quickly. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Responsible level of experience coordinating or administering a program. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will exceed the required qualifications and 3 years of experience in relationship development, relationship and/or marketing experience with proven results. Experience coordinating and/or administering a program and event planning. Experience in university career services and/or experience in corporate university relations. Knowledge of corporate recruiting policies and recruiting trends. Knowledge and understanding of web-based systems, applications. Experience using social media in an educational and/or corporate environment. Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) or other databases.

Salary Range

$58,000+ depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
