Job Description
Working within our Hydrogen and Ammonia Research team, the Senior Analyst – Ammonia will be responsible for developing detailed supply-demand, cost and price forecasts. Leveraging the full breadth of Wood Mackenzie’s proprietary data, models and expertise, you will develop long-term integrated outlooks – with key consideration of the opportunity for the role of low-carbon ammonia into traditional and new end-use sectors. You will assess policies, cost structures and technology developments to assess the competitiveness of ammonia. Including contributing to analysis of the cost of ammonia transport and storage, as well as the embedded emissions across the ammonia value-chain. The role requires a strong understanding of processes supporting the production, transportation and consumption of ammonia; fertilizer market dynamics; other traditional end-uses of ammonia; and commodity demand forecasting.
You will work across Wood Mackenzie’s Power & Renewables; Chemicals; Oils; Metals & Mining; Carbon Management; and Transport groups to develop an integrated view of the penetration of ammonia across global markets. This will include developing Wood Mackenzie’s narrative on major policy decisions and how those influence the adoption of low-carbon ammonia. You will further develop existing proprietary models and – where necessary – create new modelling solutions to provide granular and transparent supply and demand outlooks. This capability will be leveraged further through our scenarios and technologies team in developing outlooks for our Accelerated Energy Transition scenarios.
You will be the client-facing lead on ammonia and be responsible for winning business, client interaction and critical industry input. You will represent Wood Mackenzie externally at ammonia and fertilizer events and contribute to media output as our expertise expands.
