The success of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) depends on the ability to identify and reach the vulnerable and underserved communities in Bangladesh. Gavi and the Global Immunization Agenda 2030 have greatly intensified their emphasis on equity, intending to reach children who missed routine immunization. To reduce inequities, including gender inequities in accessing immunization, icddr,b will be implementing “Bangladesh Country Learning Hub” with its partner organizations. This project involves rigorous analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Research Assistant will be reporting to the Principal Investigator and responsible for providing technical support for conducting the formative and implementation part of the study. S/he will assist in writing scientific reports, protocol and manuscripts within the extent of the organization’s guidelines, visiting field sites and collecting both qualitative and quantitative data, processing data and data management works of programme; analyse and interpret data; and carry out logistic and administrative necessities.

  • Enter and clean data using Excel format/Kobo Toolbox/Google forms;
  • Analyze the data by using statistical software; R, R-Studio, Stata, Smart PLS, Prepare graphs/slides for reports and presentations;
  • Assist literature review, making project progress matrix;
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative interviews; transcript and assist data analysis using various software;
  • Prepare presentation slides and presentations in different scientific forums;
  • Assist in writing study reports and articles for peer-reviewed journals.

Required qualification and experience:

  • Master in Statistics/Applied Statistics/Anthropology.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Preference will be given to those who have experience in implementation of research activities on Immunization
