This role is responsible for effectively mobilizing resources and raising funds for the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD). The incumbent will independently carry out advocacy, networking, and partnership activities to excuse the strategy of the ISFD. This role involves collaboration with sector, departments, and other entities for resource mobilization.

- Operational and Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of a multi-year, multi-pronged resource mobilization strategy to raise core capital and off-Balance Sheet resources for the ISFD.
- Monitor and report on the implementation of resource mobilization strategy, annual work plans and budget utilization related to resource mobilization.
- Advise ISFD Management and concerned departments on the ISFD resource mobilization strategy and RM work program.
- Ensure alignment of the advocacy & PR strategy/campaign to support & complement the ISFD resource mobilization & partnership strategies.
- Participate in the development of the annual work plan and budget preparation.
- Work with Poverty Alleviation professionals to develop and execute project/program specific RM initiatives/plans/strategies.
Advocacy and Resource Mobilization:
- Drive the implementation of the resource mobilization strategy.
- Design and implement promotional activities for resource mobilization to meet targets and goals.
- Participate in strategic networking initiatives with government bodies, private and public sector institutions, NGOs, high net-worth individuals, philanthropic organizations and individuals.
- Contribute to creating and implementing innovative models/mechanisms for resource mobilization and social finance.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of project/program-based resource mobilization in collaboration with sector specialists, project/program specialists and other departments in the Bank.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with existing and prospective donors and develop new relationships with partners, official donors, philanthropists, high net worth individuals etc.
- Promote synergy by working closely with the division and department staff to ensure that the advocacy, branding and public relations campaign complement the ISFD resource mobilization efforts.
- Collaborate with sector departments and IsDB entities for resource mobilization initiatives.
- Mobilize funds through various channels including corporate social responsibility arm of the private sector within approved IsDB guidelines.
- Contribute to the Fund database and platform for networking with partners.
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
- Develop operational policies and procedures to determine eligibility criteria for projects, beneficiary countries, sectors etc.
- Define and document processes that involve cooperation with other IsDB departments and entities.
- Provide clarification on ISFD policies to relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge Sharing & Innovation:
- Identify innovative mechanisms and new trends in resource mobilization and fund raising and adapt them to IsDB culture and environment.
- Provide technical guidance to less experience staff members.
- Share best practices in the fund raising and incorporate then in ISFD policies and procedures.
Reporting & Communication:
- Participate in the preparation of the annual report of the ISFD.
- Contribute to the preparation of flagship reports.
- Oversee the preparation of regular reports on resource mobilization activities.
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Relations, or any other relevant discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role(s).
- Internationally recognized professional certification in fund raising is preferred.
