The (Senior) Risk Officer – IT Risk and Data Management will oversee IT risk management (including cyber security initiatives) to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the organization’s information assets from a second line of defence perspective. They will support data management from a second line of defence perspective and manage initiatives aimed at safeguarding data, preserving data integrity, and ensuring accuracy and availability. Working with the operational risk management team, they will help ensure the effective implementation of the operational risk management framework, system and supporting activities, including those relating to control assurance and new and amended products.

Responsibilities:

IT Risk Management:

  • Develop IT risk management frameworks and practices that comply with applicable internal and external requirements.
  • Establish continuous monitoring mechanisms to track and report the effectiveness of first line risk management initiatives and promptly address emerging threats.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks in alignment with industry best practices.

Data Management

  • Contribute to the development of data management frameworks and practices and ensure all second-line accountabilities are delivered.
  • From a second line of defence perspective, establish continuous monitoring mechanisms to track and report the effectiveness of data management initiatives and promptly address emerging threats.

Operational Risk Management

  • Lead the implementation of control assurance activities.
  • Provide operational risk insight to the development of new and amended products.
  • Contribute and support the implementation of the operational risk framework, system, and tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 -10 years (5-8 for Officer, 8-10 for Senior Officer) of relevant practical experience in relevant areas.
  • Advanced expertise and experience in technology risk, data-related risks and broad experience in operational risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Project management skills.
  • Creativity and appetite for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A team player able to operate in a diversified and multicultural work environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in finance, business, or related fields.
