Senior Section Administrator
Medicine-340(B) Hemophilia, Tulane School of Medicine
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The Senior Section Administrator for the LCBCD reports directly to the Administrative Director of the LCBCD and 340B Pharmacy Program and provides overall leadership for the operations of the Center. The Senior Section Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center, personnel management, financial management, quality and process improvement activities and collaboration on strategic planning with the Administrative Director. Manages and directs multiple work groups of exempt and nonexempt staff in the areas of Clinical Practice, Research, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Marketing, Technology, and Administrative support. The Senior Section Administrator is a member of the Department of Medicine’s administrative leadership team and manages the Center’s relationships with Tulane Medical Group, the School of Medicine Dean’s Office, Sponsored Projects Administration, the University, and external Bleeding and Clotting related organizations at the City, State, Regional and Federal levels. This individual is responsible for providing high-level decision making and develops solutions to complex, cross functional problems in order to guide the Center on a path of continuous improvement and development. Takes on a leadership role in project management associated with the growth and ongoing change in the Center. The Senior Section Administrator oversees the operations of the Center when the Director is travelling, or out of the office. Supports and collaborates with the Director to plan programs benefitting the bleeding and clotting community alongside community partners, like the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation executive team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong communication, management and analytical skills and the ability to work alongside executives and external representatives with confidence. 
• Comfortable working on multiple tasks with multiple groups independently and concurrently. 
• Extremely organized, self-starter, and independently motivated. 
• Thorough knowledge of clinical, research and office operations. 
• Good budget development and oversight skills. 
• Ability to initiate, lead and organize activities. 
• Maintain confidentiality in all work performed. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years related work experience, 

Or 

  • High School Diploma/equivalent and 10 years business operations experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in business 

Or

  •  related field Three years’ experience with clinical care operations

Compensation Information
