The Digital Platform Integration team is responsible for how we actually develop within PMI Digital. The team spans across design, architecture, execution methodologies (like agile) and quality assurance.
The team is based across our Digital locations in Lausanne, London and Krakow, working with best in class system integrators and strategic technical partners. Using innovative cloud-based technologies we are building a global multi-channel platform that will help us drive RRP across all our global markets. We are passionate about the latest technologies, and constantly evolving our capability and learning and applying to real world business needs.
As a Solution Architect Commercial, you will work closely with the domain architect to continuously design technical component of our retailer’s digital experience through groundbreaking solutions and platforms including Salesforce & AWS but not limited to.
You will contribute to the solution design, configuration and engage with business partners. you will ensure the platform design will fit non-functional requirements at scale (global and world-wide usage) balancing operational complexity and any other relevant dimension such as security, cost, speed and scalability. You will design solutions using multiple salesforce components such as Force.com, ServiceCloud, CTI, Communities, Marketing Cloud, Mulesoft, but not limited. Plus, you will also have the opportunity to work with AWS and other cloud-based solutions to help deliver composable architecture based on MACH principles.
Key Responsibilities and duties:
- Provide technical expertise for salesforce implementations and contribution to the software design, development and integration
- Identify the areas in the business where process can be automated or simplified
- Implement large scale salesforce based partnering with internal and external teams
- Provide support to the business teams on new application development pursuits, assisting with architecture assessments and technical solution design
- Plan, scope, drive or implement proof of concept to validate and prove new technology
- Support the improvement of the digital architecture practice
- Creating best practices for solution implementation including security standard methodologies, integration standard processes, naming taxonomies.
- Leveraging, collaborating, liaising with the enterprise architecture community
- Work with product owner for product road map to create future technology roadmap and identify gaps to rectify
- Represent and being an ambassador of the digital technology team
- Constantly learning and maintaining current knowledge of IT development methodology, architecture and related standards
- Analyze, recommending and getting the buying in of technology, roadmap, key design decision with peers, teams and senior management
- Compare alternatives solution across both technical and business parameters which support the define cost and service requirements.
- Manage and run end-to-end RFI & RFP process including but not limited to documenting requirements, contractual negotiations, technical evaluations etc.
- Managing vendors and budgets including creating vendor KPIs, reviewing KPIs & building improvements plans for improving KPIs
- Providing system monitoring recommendations and best practices for the global rollout of the solutions as part of the solution design
- Ability to build reference architecture, frameworks & best practices to drive solution adoption
- Managing team from hiring to onboarding, managing and developing
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience
- A demonstrated ability in similar position
- Flexible for short term business travels
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics field, a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts and have an interest in working in that environment
- Good knowledge of software development, Web services, and the Salesforce user interface, APIs, Salesforce.com Governor limits, Lightning UI, Apex, Data Model skills
- Good working knowledge of Salesforce clouds (Service Cloud, Experience Cloyd, B2B Commerce, TableauCRM etc.) along with understanding of Apex including Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Identity Connect
- Hands-on experience with AWS deployment and management services, and third part tools
- Hands-on experience with composable architecture & MECH/MECH-X
- Broad project lifecycle experience – especially in Enterprise environments
- Expert knowledge of AWS or Salesforce platform features and capabilities
- Understanding of common application approaches and technologies (e.g. SOA, message queuing)
- Understanding of common database technologies (e.g. backup/restoration, replication/mirroring)
- Experience designing for disaster recovery, hybrid cloud storage, backup and archival
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in high available or distributed cloud solutions
- Familiar with telemetry solutions like NewRelic and AppDynamics with PagerDuty & Opsgenie
- Experience in Geo-distributed system with continuous availability
- Have working experience about AWS services and architecture framework
- Use of Quality Attributes (Performance, Security, Availability, Usability, Consistency, Modifiability, Portability, Reusability, Inerrability, Testability), Observability
- CI/CD, Testing/QA – Delivery and Testability
- Familiar with modern Architecture Principles (Architect for change, Decide as late as possible, power of small,) and the twelve factors methodology
- Data lifecycle (definition, storage, processing, distribution, caching, (freshness), deletion, archiving)
- Security and Compliance basics (controls, sox, GDPR, (GxP), audits, passive/active security)
- Excellent communicator, able to communicate with technical and non-technical team members including senior management
- Project execution and SDLC (Agile, Scrum)
- Great teammate, seeking for collaboration and team success
- Experience with managing a customer facing technical team
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyse problems and develop tactical plans
- Ability to engage with Vendors (NDA, RFI, Purchasing, Relation)
- Professional experience in architecting largescale distributed systems
- Hands-on experience using computer, networking, storage, and database services using AWS
- Implementation experience in elasticity and scalability concepts
- A good understanding and implementation experience of all security features and tools that AWS provides and how they relate to traditional services
- Good Understanding of AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform or automated deployment/ configuration tools (e.g. Chef/Puppet)
- Degree or equivalent experience in technology or similar field.
