Position description
The Research, Evidence and Learning Unit is part of the Quality Assurance, Research, and Innovations department and will spearhead the research agenda setting in collaboration with the global research core group that represents the sector specialists invested in designing and conducting applied research, with our country teams and our established partners. The Senior Specialist, Evidence and Learning will work directly with the global technical and M/E teams, while coordinating all stages of evidence generation and learning through the project cycles with the country teams and relevant partners.
The Senior Specialist, Evidence and Learning will be responsible for supporting International Medical Corps’ evidence and learning in collaboration with the respective technical sector program and M/E teams at headquarters and country focal points. This role will work with field teams in identifying evidence generation and use methods while also coordinating learning agendas and cross-learning between countries. This position requires substantial technical knowledge, training experience, mentoring skills, and work experience in complex emergencies, recovery, and development settings.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the development and implementation of the International Medical Corp’s evidence and learning strategy, SOP’s and roll out plan with the QARI team.
• Collaborate with the M/E Unit team on developing methodologies and tools testing and roll out to assess outcomes and impact of projects.
• Collaborate with global and country teams for planning and design of program evidence generation and use and promote learning opportunities across countries or platforms, in collaboration with HQ and field teams.
• Support the integration of adaptive learning practices within and across teams in all country programs with technical support from global technical advisors.
• Support regular to achieve and accelerate program quality improvement, innovation, and adaptations. cross-country adaptive learning events
• Coordinate with technical sector teams to map opportunities to generate evidence for integrated program approaches, multi sector interventions and related cross-country capture of results for formative synthesis reports.
• Work with technical teams at HQ- and country program teams to foster linkages between the research agenda, project evidence generation, and knowledge management.
• Contribute to the dissemination of generated evidence and learning, including synthesis of reports, formative presentations and learning events for internal and external audiences.
• Engage with relevant global forums and technical working groups for dissemination of evidence and learning, and to promote our approaches for global knowledge sharing.
• Support the Communications department in development of content for the IMC website, social media accounts, and newsletters.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health, international development studies or related studies,
• Minimum ten years’ work experience in research, evidence and learning in relevant areas of public health and multi sector programs.
• Knowledge and demonstrated practice of humanitarian and development programs and ideally operational field-based experience for at least 7 years.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
• High level of English (written and oral) is essential, French is a plus.
• Ability to develop and use relevant methods and tools to support high quality evidence and learning analysis.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in developing evidence and learning products.
• Proven ability to work independently, flexibly, and solve problems in an autonomous way.
