Job DetailsJAB is currently sourcing a Senior Subsea & Pipeline Engineer for a staff role based in Aberdeen.
Joining our Client’s Engineering & Consulting business, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and exciting projects.
As part of a highly experienced Subsea and Pipeline Engineering team, you will provide value-adding, specialist engineering support to our clients.Skills and responsibilities
You will contribute to projects across all three of our Engineering and Consultancy Services markets (Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, and Low Carbon), with key responsibilities including:

• Concept development and feasibility studies for challenging marginal, HPHT, and deep-water subsea developments in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Design and analysis of CO2 and H2 onshore and offshore pipelines in the Low Carbon sector.
• Supporting junior engineers or executing yourself typical tasks in FEED studies such as pipeline mechanical design, pipeline routing, stress analysis, producing datasheets and specifications, supporting CAD drawings etc.
• Subsea cable routing, mechanical design, analysis and assessment in the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas sectors.
• Building and maintaining client relationships and contributing to successful proposals and tenders.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Leading integrity management, life extension, and decommissioning studies.
• Using analytical or non-linear FE methods to solve diverse and complex subsea pipeline and subsea cable problems.
• Developing onshore pipeline routing criteria and routing maps, allowing for environmental, safety, land rights and legal considerations.
• Participation in innovation projects to continually streamline our toolkits for delivering our assessments.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification

• Engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Naval Architecture or similar engineering discipline.
• Chartered status.
