Working at our iconic office in Leeds, and virtually via Microsoft TeamsYour new role at NewDayAs part of Platform Infrastructure engineering team, You’ll support NewDay’s cloud infrastructure in Azure and be responsible for delivering cloud-based solutions, handling Azure core infrastructure, and ensuring systems availability.You’ll deliver

• Showcase your deep expertise in Azure, from OS management to advanced troubleshooting, using cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
• Lead the design, build, and deployment of Azure-hosted services like IaaS VMs, Storage, DNS, Backup, DR, and Monitoring, ensuring compliance with NewDay’s policies.
• Deliver seamless support for virtualization platforms, including Citrix, Windows 365, and Azure VDI
• Work cross-functionally with teams to support key projects and drive NewDay’s strategic business goals.
• Craft and maintain crucial documentation-architectural blueprints, standards, and guides-to streamline support processes and boost team effectiveness.
• Manage capacity effectively to ensure critical projects and escalated incidents get the attention they need.
• Keep infrastructure secure and up to date by managing vulnerabilities and routine patching.
• Tackle challenges head-on with your technical prowess, delivering innovative, forward-thinking solutions.
• Provide top-tier out-of-hours support as part of a rotational on-call team.

What you’ll bringWe need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• strong knowledge of infrastructure components in Azure including Windows OS, AD, Entra ID, DNS, Group Policy, File Share, and Backup.
• Real-world experience in supporting enterprise-scale IaaS and PaaS services in Azure including Storage account, Azure backup, Azure site recovery, and Azure networking.
• Familiarity with Azure management and security tools such as Bastion, Defender, JIT, PIM, IAM, Security Center, and Cost.
• Knowledge of infrastructure management tools such as SolarWinds, Azure monitoring, and WSUS
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.

And would love you to know or learn:

• Infrastructure deployment through code using Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.
• Most recent cloud technologies, tools, and principles.
