Full Time, Continuing Opportunity

The ITDS team have a continuing opportunity available for a collaborative Senior Technology Engagement Specialist to join their team at an exciting time for the University.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Engagement the Senior Technology Engagement Specialist drives the increase in technology uptake and growth in digital capability across the University community. The role is responsible for providing leadership to the communication function for ITDS; developing and implementing communications plans, materials and artefacts; the successful individual will be able to translate technical information into lay terms for stakeholders.

IT Engagement the Senior Technology Engagement Specialist will work closely and collaboratively with IT Liaison Managers, Change Managers, Business Analysts and Trainers in a fast paced and focused environment. Providing support and guidance to strategic, tactical, operational and  project communications. There may be need for after-hours engagement.  

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to build productive, long-term relationships with stakeholders, including at a senior level, with the ability to integrate with the corporate culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including senior executive.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative, set priorities and balance the demands of a complex working environment.
  • Proven track record in providing insightful advice and guidance to a broad range of stakeholders up to and including senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

Desired but not essential:

  • Experience in website content management.
  • Experience in the use of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop for publications/communication materials.
  • Experience operating in an IT environment.
