Job Title: Senior Transition and Closeout Consultant, Global Health Technical and Mission Support (GH-TAMS)

Overview: The USAID/Bureau of Global Health is seeking mechanisms to respond to Missions’ needs by identifying and deploying highly skilled health professionals available to fill temporary gaps in the Missions’ Health portfolio. GH‐TAMS provides the Bureau of Global Health and USAID Missions with access to high quality, external technical expertise to design and support the contributing achievements of the U.S. Government health objectives. The activities of GH‐TAMS will support cross‐cutting health issues such as gender, health systems strengthening, environment, science and technology.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level assignment management and closeout support to the project and contract.
- Provide technical guidance of all contract work, consultant identification and management, dissemination of information, submission of reports and other contract deliverables.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in International Development.
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated successful experience as a senior manager of complex institutional support program(s) providing technical assistance in global health to developing countries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of USAID regulations and organization policies and procedures as they relate to international development.
Education: Master’s and/or PhD in Business Administration, Public Health and/or related to International Development.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in project management, strict attention to detail, ability and willingness to work within all levels of the team and organization.
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment. Currently the company is allowing hybrid work in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area. This can be updated by the company.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: International travel may be required and may include travel to fragile and/or conflict-prone zones.
Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in U.S.
