One of the South-West’s most successful E-commerce groups is looking for a Senior Web Developer. We are looking for at least 4 years of commercial software development expertise in an e-commerce environment. Shopify development experience will help but above all, you’ll be able to demonstrate solid development proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This is a Hybrid role so for three days you will be office-based in South Devon and spend two days a week working remotely.Role: Senior Web Developer
Location: South Devon – commutable from Exeter, Newton Abbot, Totnes, Torbay and possibly areas East of Plymouth.
Salary: up to £55k p.a. Depending Upon skills and experience
Set Up: Hybrid WorkingIf you have a passion for software development, enjoy learning new technologies, sharing solutions and enjoy working as part of a team this could be a fantastic opportunity. You’ll be allowed to run for technical lead on lots of projects and you’ll be able to design technical solutions within an E-commerce environment.We seek the following experience:

• HTML, CSS and JavaScript proficiency
• Familiarity with modern web development techniques and approaches
• App integration
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• SEO
• Modern Version control software (i.e. GIT)

If you can demonstrate any of the following it will help:

• Shopify development experience
• Modern JS framework experience (i.e. Vue or React)
• PHP framework experience (i.e. Laravel or symfony)
• Agile or Scrum approaches to software development
• Use of CI/CD pipelines
• Docker experience
• Experience of writing frontend and backend unit and integration tests (PHPUnit/PEST).
