The Job RoleAs Service Charge Accountant, you will contribute to our vision of being the UK’s leading property manager, as recognised by our colleagues, customers and partners:

  • Delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers
  • Ensuring timely and accurate Estate Finances
  • Supporting operations in communicating and understanding service charge

This role reports to the Service Charge Accounting Team Leader and has no direct reports.About YouYou are able to utilise your accounting knowledge and your high attention to detail with double entry bookkeeping and the accuracy that accompanies it.You will use your good communication skills to see and challenge information, ensuring a smooth accounting process for the wider team. You are able to use your initiative in problem solving.   • Ensure all Accounts & Budgets are issued on time, are accurate and are of highest quality.
  • Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to the team.
  • Analysing financial reports, including data on income and expenditure and balance sheet.
  • Strengthen relationships with Operations through refined and simplified processes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communications to line manager and the wider business.
  • Take full responsibility of your own development.
  • Any other tasks as and when required to enable smooth running of department.

Skills and Experience

  • Work towards a professional qualification (AAT / ACCA) would be an advantage but not essential.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see and challenge information.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise own workload.
  • A team player demonstrates working towards a common goal.
