What you’ll do
- Implement the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) Linker Service Coordination and Primary Care Training Program in liaison with the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network
- Proactively engage with general practices, and co-deliver child sexual assault and sexual violence training to enable safe disclosures by patients and meaningful referrals
- Provide support, advice and a specific referral service for general practices to provide direct patient support, and a timely and efficient pathway into the DFSV service sector
- Provide support to general practices to implement practice-level measures to enhance their response to people affected by child sexual assault and sexual violence
- Work collaboratively with Local Health District and other relevant sexual violence/assault and child sexual abuse services
- Manage data and provide reporting as required
The details:
- Full time 2 year contract
- Based in Penrith with frequent travel in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury & Lithgow region
- Potential to work from home at times in line with business needs
- $49.90 per hour plus super and salary packaging benefits
- Valid NSW Class C driver’s licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Flexibility to work outside of business hours on occasion
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, social welfare, health promotion or similar field, supported by relevant experience
- Strong knowledge and skills in working with child sexual assault and sexual violence
- Skills and experience in capacity building activities, including training and coaching
- Knowledge of the local service system, and ability to facilitate effective referrals
- Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
