The University of North Georgia, Department of Nursing is accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month Simulation Specialist for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Preference will be given to candidates with academic teaching experience in a skills lab and/or simulation center.


  • This position includes expectations for teaching in simulation settings across the curriculum. 
  • Serve as resource person for use and maintenance of the Human Patient Simulator (HPS).
  • Develop technical proficiency with basic aspects of the use of simulation and AV software, operation, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, repair and replacement needs for all simulation equipment. 
  • Assist Simulation Technologist to ensure simulation setup and turnover are complete.
  • Participate in planning to provide curriculum and learning objective expertise.
  • Maintain communication with course faculty and students related to scheduling and makeup for designated courses and end-semester course meetings for simulation evaluation. 
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and simulation staff and stakeholders to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate simulation-based education and events, learning objectives, program planning, evaluation tools and other needs of clinical departments and groups utilizing the Clinical Simulation Center. 


  • Master of Science in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two year’s experience as a Registered Nurse. 
  • Current license in Georgia as a registered professional nurse required.
  • Certifications as appropriate, CHSE preferred.
