About the position
We’re seeking an enthusiastic emerging leader to take on the Site Coordinator role in the above-mentioned locations. The role provides a great opportunity to grow your career with meaningful and rewarding work that can make a real difference to people’s lives.
As Site Coordinator, you’ll provide strong leadership and guidance to the staff members who have the responsibility of delivering individualised support to people with NDIS funding living in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). You will lead person-centred practice (Active Support) to your teams to ensure that a high-quality standard of service is provided to individuals in their homes and the community. You will also ensure that the support provided is consistent with legislative requirements, funding as per service agreements, and organisational policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the Site Coordinator include leading, coaching, mentoring, and engaging staff teams to provide person-centred active support to individuals to facilitate the development of skills, meaningful participation in the community, and independence. You may at times, be required to work alongside staff teams in the delivery of direct support services which may also include shift work.
Through direct engagement with staff teams, the people we support and the community, the Site Coordinator will assist in realising Annecto’s overall purpose, connecting individuals and communities to realise an inclusive society. Are you ready to be a part of something really great?
Your skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services or a similar discipline
- Good understanding of NDIS and Supported Independent Living (SIL) operational guidelines and Home & Living supports
- Experience in leading and managing a team in similar community settings (preferably 2 years + experience)
- Experience & understanding of Behaviour Support Planning and positive Behaviour Support
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff through a range of workplace change initiatives with particular emphasis on employee behavioural and workplace system change
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple databases, systems, and software relating to multiple clients, staff, and funding bodies
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise judgment, initiative, decisiveness, accountability, and results orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication for audience and purpose
- Ability to give and receive feedback to enhance the quality of support provided
- Experience in rostering to meet the needs of the participants as required
- Sound knowledge in government funding expectations, invoicing, policies, and current practice in the delivery of services to people who experience disability or ageing, their families and carers
- Capacity to exercise judgment, initiative, decisiveness, accountability and results orientation
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificates (Desirable)
- Current driver licence
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the Victorian Public Health Direction
